Discover the Secrets of Grand Central
750,000 people walk through Grand Central every day. Almost none of them know about the tennis court hidden above the concourse, the private apartment built for a 1920s tycoon, or why the ceiling is painted backwards. In 90 minutes, you will.
Explore Fifth Avenue's Gilded Age Mansions
The Vanderbilts, Astors, and Carnegies didn't just live on Fifth Avenue, they shaped it. The facades, the institutions, the rivalries, and the scandals are still written into every block. This tour reads them.
Step Inside Ellis Island's Abandoned Hospital
The only tour in New York City that takes you inside Ellis Island’s Contagious Disease Hospital, closed to the public since 1954, and still frozen in time.

Best guided Gilded Age Tour in NYC This tour exceeded expectations. Book with Rosemary (Ro). She brings the history of these mansions to life, providing details and fun facts. Time flies and leaves you wanting to know more! We are looking forward to booking another Untapped tour with Ro.
Interesting and fun. Learned a lot! We had a two hour walking tour of “Art Deco New York“. Our guide was AJ and he was knowledgeable, friendly and happy to answer questions. We appreciated that he was clear with answers to our questions and comfortable telling us that he didn’t know an answer when that was the case We appreciated his candor and interest in this subject.
Fun Tour What a tour to learn about the Dutch influence on America. From their early beginnings to when the British kicked them out, as history is written by the winners. But, Dutch influence is everywhere. Our guide, Mickey, was so knowledgeable of their history and gave us some ideas and answers we were looking for. My wife is of Dutch decent and can trace her lineage back to New Amsterdam and Albany/Fort Orange. Mickey was able to mix in some American Revolutionary and British history. Definitely would recommend this tour and Mickey. Will request when we bring back family. 5-star, thanks.
Kid-Friendly, Rain-or-Shine, and Absolutely Worth It! So so glad we booked this tour!! A perfect way to learn more about one of my favourite things about New York – the subway system! Travelling with kids, it is sometimes hard to find a guided, informative experience that keeps them engaged but they enjoyed themselves from start to finish! Thanks in part for that is our fantastic guide, Cullen. Travelling in January, I was mindful of finding an experience that would be okay in all kinds of weather and this was perfect. This tour really did end up being one of our highlights of our time in New York so if you are thinking about it – go ahead and book!
Great tour of Grand Central This was such a great tour. Christian was our guide. I’m a New Yorker who has walked past or through Grand Central Terminal many times. I had no idea how much I did not know about it. Christian told us about the history and “secrets” that I had been missing. I recommend this tour for visitors and residents who want to know more about this fascinating place.
An Engaging Tour Filled with Knowledge and Insight We loved this tour. Our two tour guides were fantastic. They were knowledgable about the Woolworth’s building history and architectural significance having personal connections to the team that own the building. The passion they shared for the building was evident! And it made the tour so much more engaging than some I’ve been on. I learned a lot of interesting facts about Woolworth history and the building. We loved visiting spaces that the general public don’t get to see and we all felt that the tour was packed with many special highlights. It was about 2 hours and 20 min. and captivated the whole group the entire time. We had ample time for photos, for questions and to appreciate the marvel of the build. I’m 100% pleased with the quality of the tour and the opportunity afforded to visit one of the NYC’s most iconic sights.
